About Us

  Sue Runkle, Director

After nearly 20 years as a freelance journalist, Sue made her move into Custom Framing. She first learned about Inside Angles when she wrote their business profile for a local newspaper. When she was ready for a career change a couple of years alter, Inside Angles was at the top of her list. In the beginning, Sue was working in customer service, production, and was picking up design techniques. After two years in the business she was promoted to mat cutting on The Wizard, which is specialized proprietary equipment.

In the eight years Sue has apprenticed under the previous owner, Janice, she's become a skilled and prolific framing consultant. She loves to challenge herself by framing her personal art (and kid art) collection in unique and creative ways.

Sue loves Custom Framing because it brings out the best in art, and in people. From the interactive design process to the final unveiling, it is personal and fun. Sue gets excited about every project, and when her customers fall in love with their finished pieces, it's hard not to!

The previous owner, Janice, decided to retire in 2008, and the fate of the shop hung in the balance. Sue stepped up and took over the business to continue the work that she and her co-workers love. As the new Owner/Director of Inside Angles, Sue is hitting her stride toward making the shop as successful as it has ever been and bringing the art of custom framing to a whole new audience.

  Lisa Kochheiser, Manager

Lisa began her framing career in 1984 at a small gallery/frame shop in Aurora, Illinois. She only took the job to pay for a set of encyclopedias for her children. It was in that small frame shop that Lisa found she had an excess of design talent and found herself in a new career.

It’s true what people say, “Framing gets in your blood”. It requires a combination of skills not everyone has. From the design work through the craftsmanship of production, attention to detail makes all the difference. Lisa's approach to custom framing has always been to provide the best product possible given the customer's input and her discerning eye for design

Lisa began framing at Inside Angles in 1989. During her 20 years with the shop, she's made some great friends, and has framed some amazing pieces. Lisa loves to laugh, and her favorite part of coming to work every day is the friendly, productive relationships he has built with her co-workers and her many returning customers.
